SAMARCU was established at Luduș in 2002 as a Romanian company with Italian capital. The facilities at Luduș were built to the most modern European criteria, in order to meet the production and quality needs of the OTLAV Group. The company specializes in roto barrel electrolytic galvanising, electrostatic powder coating, and small part assembly and packing, providing traceability throughout all the processing operations.

ESTABLISHMENT

Samarcu company founding

The company OTLAV with headquarter in Italy decided to open its first site outside Italy and chose Romania. Construction of its facilities began in 2002 and ended a year later.

2004

OFFICIAL OPENING

Samarcu begins production

Activities began in June 2004, as soon as the Luduș factory was officially opened, crowning an over five million euro investment by the Italian company OTLAV.

2005

CERTIFICATION

environmental authorisation achievement

The Luduș SAMARCU is one of the first Romanian companies to obtain Integrated Environmental Authorization (renewed in 2010), proof that in its operations the company constantly strives to protect the environment.

2015

ISO 9001

Galvanising department is certified ISO 9001

In 2015, Samarcu implemented ISO 9001 Standards in its electrolytic galvanising department, reiterating the standard of quality to which the company works and which the owners are adamant about maintaining.
